The true story of Holocaust survivor Leon Greenman, Auschwitz 98288
This film, spoken in English with Dutch subtitles, tells the story of London-born Leon Greenman. At the age of five, Greenman moved with his family to Rotterdam. He got married to a Dutch woman, Ester van Dam. In October 1943, they were sent to Westerbork with their son Barney and later to Auschwitz where Leon's wife and child were murdered.
Leon Greenman was imprisoned in five different concentration camps, but survived the war. Afterwards he devoted the rest of his life to telling the story of the Holocaust.
