Emptying the homes of Jews after the residents had been deported or appeared to have gone into hiding or to have fled.
All the possessions were taken away by the Hausraterfassungsstelle. In Amsterdam the moving company owned by the Puls family emptied the homes (outside Amsterdam other companies carried this task). Looting of Household contents was referred to as ‘pulsen'. Detailed records were kept of the goods that were looted.
