1. The name of a group of prisoners responsible for various tasks. They were called the camp police by others in the Westerbork transit camp.
2. Illegal organisation, partly made of military circles. During the war the organisation made preparations for maintaining order and preventing the left from seizing power after the Nazi surrender. The name of the organisation was often abbreviated to OD.
