Senior SS officer Reinhard Heydrich, known as the Butcher of Prague, was head of the RSHA Reichssicherheitshauptamt. This organisation comprised all the secret services. In addition to being head of the RSHA, Heydrich was also in charge of the Sipo and the SD. In 1941, Heydrich was instructed to prepare the total destruction of European Jewry. In early 1942, he organized the Wannsee Conference for this purpose. In that same year he was liquidated by Czech resistance fighters.
